Fishing Report

Fall Weather Arrives...Finally

JR2

Hot, sunny and dry weather has been replaced with cooler cloudy days.  This is a great time to be in Montana, leaves are changing, elk are bugling and the fish are still looking up. Afternoons have been on the windy side, I recommend you get on the water early to avoid heavy wind gusts. The Missouri is lower than has been typical of the last few years, very easy to wade fish at this flow.  Brown trout are becoming super aggressive and eating a variety of streamers, though they will eat the dry as well. A fair assortment of midges and mayflies are out and about, with a healthy addition of October Caddis. Fall rates are now in effect, come get it while it lasts, winter is coming...
